Who we are
Based on the Bible mandate to reach all people, FLBC's youth group has been established to minister to teenage individuals, beginning at 7th grade or 13 years old. From the shores of the Keys to the caves of Tennessee, our Youth Group takes part in many exciting activities and ministries. The summer Teen Camp Trip is the highlight of the year, but opportunities exist every week.
Teen Ministry Schedule
- Teen Sunday School - Sunday at 10:00 AM
- Teen Soul Winning - Wednesday at 4:00 PM
- Teen Activity - Saturday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Our Goal
To reach teens for Christ and prepare them for the service and work of the Lord in the local church. To this end, we strive to teach our teens the key to Christian success: a daily walk in Jesus Christ.
Major Coming Events
March - Ambassadors for Christ Soulwinning
This spring, we will be joining Brother Ron Reilly in the Ambassadors for Christ Daytona Soulwinning Outreach. This amazing ministry has seen thousands saved over the years; moreover, the youth who attend the trip are taught to be personal evangelists.
July - Bill Rice Ranch Teen Camp
Our Summer Teen Camp Trip begins the Thursday before the actual week of camp starts. This year, we will be traveling to Cumberland Caverns in McMinville, Tennessee, and spending the night in the cave!
The purpose for our Teen Camp is to place our youth under the preaching of the Word of God that they might make decisions to live for Christ, gain victory over sin, and receive help and encouragement in their spiritual walk.
Leadership
Under the direction of the pastor, Chris Callahan and Charlie Salcedo direct the activities of the youth program.
Mr. Callahan serves as the Youth Director. He earned his undergraduate degree from Pensacola Christian College and a Master's in Bible from Pensacola Theological Seminary. He moved to Fort Lauderdale to help found FLBC.
Mr. Salcedo serves as the Assistant Youth Director. He received his training from Ambassador Bible College. His burden for church planting led him from nearby Hialeah to FLBC where he has been involved since it's early days.
