Preaching is a very important part of Fort Lauderdale Baptist Church. You can expect to hear the Word of God proclaimed faithfully each Sunday Morning, Sunday Evening, Wednesday. While we believe prayer and singing have an important place in a church service, the emphasis is on the preaching.

Romans 10:13-15 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Most sermons are verse by verse expository preaching allowing the Word of God to guide us and provide all we need.

II Timothy 3:16-17 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Church members are expected to be students of the scriptures themselves and to not just be hearers of the word but doers.

Acts 17:11 - These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

James 1:22 - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
